I applaud anyone who decides to get in front of a camera and have a lens pointed at them. It can be terrifying in so many circumstances. I myself find it awkward when I get in front of a camera, especially in front of someone else’s camera. While living through the era of selfies, it’s easy to take a good picture, but it still lacks the fundamental reason to do a photoshoot. There are times where being in a photoshoot brings so much more then the photo itself. It brings out the not just the smile, but the vulnerability. Sometimes the silly and the sassy too. Each of these portrait sessions I did with all these ladies gave me a sense of why I do what I do. Most of us want to feel good, look good and be good, and I have definitely captured all of this. A lot of the time they end up loving the moment I ended up getting in between.
